Gold Piece

Collect four of these and head home to win. Any gold you acquire through discovery or battle is magically transferred to your castle.

Elixir

Gain the number of health points as indicated on the bottle's label (2 or 3).

Plague

Lose the number of health points as indicated on the sign chained to the rat (3 or 4). Can be blocked by a suit of armour.

Sword

Add points from one roll of the six-sided die to your battle score when you decide to use this weapon.

Tunnel

Travel between tunnels by landing on each, counting each step as one space moved.

Loch

Players may not land on or go through Lochs.

Double Sword

Add points from two rolls of the six-sided die to your battle score when you decide to use this weapon.

Gain health

Gain one health point.

Lose health

Lose one health point.

Armour

Stops you losing health in any way. You choose when to use it.

Battle Axe

Add four points to your battle score when you decide to use this weapon.

Peace Treaty

Defends against a single attack. If you are attacked you must use the treaty to defend yourself and prevent the attack. If you wish to launch an attack you may do so but must forfeit the treaty and return it to the Armoury.

Holy Ground

This is a safe space. You cannot be attacked or robbed while on this tile. You cannot launch an attack from this tile.

Sceptre

This weapon allows you to attack an opponent at distance, from anywhere on the board.

Dagger

Add two points to your battle score when you decide to use this weapon.

Piece Protector

Allows you to protect one piece of gold from being stolen or lost in battle. It cannot protect you in the case of a castle breach.

Nothing Happens

As the name suggests, nothing happens!

Castle Breach

Your castle is under attack. Regardless of whether you have any gold or not, your castle is now under siege and you no longer own any current or future gold until the breach is over. The breach ends when any player lands on your castle, and they claim any gold that is there. Gold cannot be stolen from you by any means when the Castle Breach is active, as you technically no longer own it. If you get any gold durng the siege, it teleports to your castle but is still not yours.

Highway Robbery

Steal one gold piece from any player. You cannot steal steal from them if they are on Holy Ground, or if their castle is breached.

Raid

Lose all of your protective pieces: Armour, Piece Protector and Peace Treaty.

Ambush

Steal one special piece (excluding gold) from any player. You may not from anyone on Holy Ground.

Den of Thieves

Lose all your weapons: Swords, Double Sword, Sceptre, Dagger and Battle Axe.
